Sitaphal Basundi

To all the sweet tooths out there, you dont need an occasion to make sweets. My hubby is very fond of sweets, hence for me either during lunch or dinner there has to be a sweet dish. He feels his food incomplete without eating a sweet dish. And when I see the smile on his face that brings a complete satisfaction to me.

So here we have sitaphal basundi which is simple and yet very yummilicious


1 litre Full Fat Milk

½ Cup Sugar

1 tsp Cardamom Powder

1 Cup Sitaphal Pulp

2 tbsp nuts, chopped


  • Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pot. Put on simmer and keep stirring constantly. Making sure that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • After it has reduced and thickened, add sugar, cardamom powder.
  • Simmer for more 5-10mins. Take off the flame and add sitaphal pulp. Mix well.
  • Serve chilled. Garnish with nuts and serve.
