Dosa is a popular South Indian dish which we all love so much because of its versatility. While preparing dosa, the culinary possibilities are endless. One of the many varieties of dosa that we love is Onion rava masala dosa. It is another delicious variety of dosa that can be easily made at home. For making this recipe, you will require rava, rice flour, onion and spices to bring the delectable flavor in the hot and crispy Dosas.   • 1/2 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • refined oil as required
  • 1 green chilli
  • 2 teaspoon peppercorns
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 cup refined flour
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • salt as required

How to make Onion Rava Masala Dosa

  • Step 1. Prepare the dosa batter. In a bowl, add all ingredients (semolina, rice flour, maida, ginger, green chilli, black pepper, and cumin seeds) and mix in water. Make the batter of thin running consistency.
  • Step 2. Cook the dosa and serve hot. Heat a non-stick pan and add some oil. Pour a portion of the batter onto the pan and then spread it into a thin layer to form the dosa.
  • Step 3. Add onion to the dosa. Immediately, sprinkle it with chopped onion and add 1 tsp ghee over it. Let the dosa cook on medium heat until it is golden brown. Do not flip the dosa, just fold and serve hot.
